“The Visit” By M. Night Shyamalan

“Over the River and Through the Woods to…What the Fuck??”  That pretty much sums up M. Night Shyamalan’s new movie, “The Visit.”  Welcome back.

The Visit, is a disturbing movie.  Not so much violent or gory but just creepy as Hell.  The main plot revolves around these two children who were sent to go see their grandparents for the first time ever.  This was due to a huge fight their mother got into it with her parents.  The children were giving mom a break and trying to mend old wounds.  Their Grandparents welcome them and then shit gets weird.  Their grandma or Nana becomes very unusual at night and the children are led to believe that it is due to the fact that she is old and suffers from a psychological disorder that only occurs at night.  As the movie continues she and their Pop pop or grandfather become more estranged and just strange.  It continues for the week each day getting worst. But I will not delve out any spoilers.  All in all I rate this movie as a 7 out of 10.

The acting was mediocre all together but Ms. Deanna Dunagan was outstanding in my opinion as there Nana.  Just due to her gall.  She ran a lot and crawled quickly throughout the film especially in hide and seek.  She definitely portrayed creepy well.  Hell she did not even care to show her naked ass multiple times.  But do not worry it is PG-13.  She did very well in this movie.  The grandfather, mother, and children weren’t bad but Dunagan was the center of attention in this movie.

My opinion though feel free to express yours, is that Shyamalan has comeback with this movie, and hopefully he will keep it up.  The over all tone was what I call grey.  The movie was not very dark or light but right in the middle.  A grey tinge that just made you feel a little uncomfortable.  Scary it had some jump scares but all in all creepy as fuck.

I do recommend this movie.  It looked well in theater because the actors were in your face.  However, it is found footage to an extent.  So if you do not like that you may not like this.  I found it enjoyable on a rainy night.  Thank you for reading and feel free to express your opinions.  I would love to here that or any suggestions you may have for future movies.  Thank you.

P.S.  Thank you http://www.forbes.com for the movie poster and http://www.thewrap.com for your pic of Ms. Dunagan.
