Unfortunately, it was not up to par this year. The scares were few and far between and there was not much difference in the set up of all the locations. The Village of the Dead did seem longer but I believe they got rid of the claustrophobic room which was creepy in its own rights. The corn maze once again was a given path and the scenes were not that big. One of the most disappointing things of the entire thing was there were no be-headings or electrocutions which used to happen in its original form. Hell the theme was wrong anyways.
This bothers me. When you tell me what kind of fucking haunt it is supposed to be it is suppose to be that haunt. The theme was Freakshow. Guess what there was one scene with “Freaks,” and it was in the barn. Hell when you started the ride the host tells you it is going to be a bayou. Guess what? That is not a Freakshow. There were a bunch of so called bayou dwellers acting weird but no fucking freaks. I did not even see a clown. Granted I went on a Thursday, maybe they show up a different day. When I hear Freakshow I am expecting a carnival, trippy lights, and a circus-esque theme where “Freaks,” not Bayou Boys and Girls come out to scare me. That did not happen. I do enjoy the haunt to an extent. Hell I go every year. They just need to pick up there game again. We want more creativity, gore, and scares. I give this haunt a 4 out of 10. Please pick it up.
