Twilight Creations created this fun game that consist of zombie killing. I played it with my buddy who was the first to purchase it for game night and I got addicted. The game is fun and entertaining but it takes a long time just to even play the first game without expansions.
This creation by Twilight Creations is excellent. The game makers’ must be proud of this project and huge horror fans. Hell the play cards in all the different games and expansions have a strong resemblance to most every zombie movie. The male representation looks pretty much like Bruce Campbell, one game takes place in a cemetery and the cards pretty much have scenes from Return of the Dead on them. Hell the expansions seem to be like different horror titles anyway because there is the cemetery (Return of the Dead) the mall (Day of the Dead) and a cabin (Evil Dead) in these games.
The premise is simple, “Escape from the Zombie’s.” However, to get to that point is way more difficult than expected. The original takes place in the city and you must escape to a helipad but that is can be the reason why it takes so long because the creators made the game board a living object. The game board is divided into many tiles and it is the same with expansions having multiple tiles with drawings of areas on each one. You literally build your own game board because each time it is your turn you place a tile from the middle to an area where you want it to go. These tiles have roads and paths and some have special buildings where you can build up your inventory of lives and bullets because you only start out with three anyway. These buildings also allows you to get certain weapons and things to help you in the game if you acquire certain cards because you only start out with three playing cards as well.
The game is turn based and set up kind of like risk. In order to destroy a zombie you must roll 4 and above on your battle dice. If you do not you can use a bullet to add one to your battle roll. If you lose you lose one life if killed by a grown zombie or child zombie and half a life if killed by a dog zombie and believe me there are more specialty zombies out there that have certain life stealing capability. You must continue to fight this zombie until it is dead. If that was not difficult enough you get certain cards that can seriously screw you or other players on the field by taking weapons, sending back to the beginning, adding more zombies to their tile, and much more fucked up shit. So a good strategy is to hold on to those cards that screw people up at the beginning of the game but when the helipad is down and the game can no longer be built you screw everybody. Now, you should build that inventory up at the beginning as well with the inventory cards that you acquire, and just have fun.
This game is great for horror fans and can be used at your disclosure. You could easily turn it to a drinking game or for you pervs out there a stripping game. Haha. But all in all it is fun. The creators from Twilight Creations have not stopped there but have made many sci-fi, horror genre based games for everyone. The titles include: Humans!!! which is an expansion on Zombies!!! but you are a zombie trying to kill humans which can be used in tandem on the Zombies!!! game, Cthulu!!!, Martians!!!, Innsmouth Escape, Little Red Riding Hood, and many more which you can check out on their website.
