This was a well done independent film that I just recently watched. It does kind of make you want to strangle the protagonist a bit because she just does not want to listen. The film starring Michele Simms takes a look into skepticism of an lady who pretends to be a psychic so she can start her movie career but learns there is more out there than she can see.
Samantha (Michele Simms) is a fortune teller who uses different gimmicks to convince people that she is psychic. Though she is a huge skeptic when it comes to paranormal activities. Which is odd because both her best friend and her former husband were entrenched with the paranormal. She however denies these beliefs. When evening a lady panic stricken and terrified comes to her about nightmares that are all to real haunting her. So, Sam after taking this ladies money says she will try to help just to make the lady feel better get rid of the nightmares and ghosts but there is no guarantee that it will work. After asking the spirit to leave the lights went out and when they were back on Sam nose started to bleed. Well she then decides to head home when a white form entered her car. The entity attached itself to her. While at home Maya her best friend contacts her and they begin to talk but as they are talking strange occurrences happen. Subtle at first. Sam decides to go for a jog and when she returns all the lights in her house were on the stereo was blasting and TV was on. She shuts off these things and Maya decides to call. By the way she has the worst ringtone for her friend of a crazy ass laugh. Anyway this continues to happen and Maya who loves the paranormal tells Sam who is starting to believe what she needs to do and she even states not to trust the ghost. However, so on and so forth she performs some rituals and then it just goes downhill from that moment.
The movie I thought was well done. It had an edgy creepiness to it and also shows a skeptics stupidity . There was not many roles within the movie so the director could work well with the extra money he did not have to pay for actors to produce a good movie. All in all a well done movie.
