Tis the season to scare all. However, not so much at Busch Gardens, Williamsburg. Howl-O-Scream is a seasonal promotion for Busch Gardens. The theme park is large and full of rides but the haunt is not all that great to me. The only thing scary was the price at $ 80 a day pass for one person. The worst part is they do not change the price for the Howl-O-Scream event and I say this because Howl-O-Scream does not even start till 6:00 PM and ends at 10:00 PM. So even if you are there just for this event you will pay full price for an entire day which is fucked up in my opinion but hell that is me.
Now if you want to scare your children under the age of 14 this event is for you. There is enough creepy things there to send shivers down there spines. However, if you are an older individual it is like trick or treating in your neighborhood and sometimes that can be scarier then usual. There are multiple haunts which is great and is spread throughout the park. Even multiple shows playing. But I guess park rules do not allow for your to as an actor touch or follow the guests. In fact the only thing I believe they are allowed to do is make loud noises and yell. Not even hide to well. If you are walking through the haunts the actors will be found in the same place no matter how many times you go through it. This makes it easy for the park to keep tabs but hard for the actors to scare you. I cannot complain but so much because it is an awesome event for most but looking at the haunts I been too and the movies I watch it is a tough scare.
Busch Gardens is great for a family event but for most haunters it is not all that great. The price is outrageous for the short period the event lasts but the real thing that matters most is being there with friends. I enjoyed hanging with my friends though I was not scared. Hell one of my friends had more successful scares than some of the actors at Busch Gardens and he was a guest. This is definitely something for the family so understand that as you enter.
