I must first enter this idea and this post with a word of caution. I am no professional but I feel I can pick-up things others cannot when it involves my surroundings. A certain attention to unique changes and details. I have not study paranormal investigations or any such thing, hell maybe some day I will. My equipment is basic a GOPRO, a Digital Camcorder, a modified camera that picks up IR lighting, and my senses. However, I recently visited a campground for fun and there was something unusual about it. This is my story.
Cherrystone is located in the Cape Charles area of Virginia. It is a campground near the Eastern Shore. It is a lovely place believe me. Many amenities that are close by and they even have a haunt setup during the weekend at the park for $5.00. I will talk about that in a later blog. However, something negative has happen there in the past. A tornado touchdown where are campsite was located with our friends. This tornado actually killed a family 2 years ago. We went to this site on the 21 October 2016 and spent the night with our friends. The weird part about it came that night and lasted through the day and came back the following night.
The family had a tree fall on them during a tornado where the winds reached approximately 110 MPH. These left campers flipped and other people without a place to stay. However, when I mentioned I had a unique experience there it was very true. While at the site the wind roared through the entire night. This bent trees and destroyed several covers set-up by our friends. As I lied in the car all night with my girl. I woke up many of times feeling my car shake and hearing stuff being knocked over and trees bending at the whim on the wind. This would not be unusual except it continued not as vicious but through the next day. The most unique part of it, is that when we walked throughout the rest of the campground no other area felt as windy as our site. We notice this several times. The night came once again and the wind unrelenting increased ridiculously but my girl and me walked to the haunted house that night and once again no wind raged through the campground and once we returned entering our site the wind raged on.
Cherrystone was a great experience and I had fun. But it still boggles my mind how are site seemed like it was the windiest out of the entire campground. Could it have been the family letting us know they are still there watching the site. I could not tell you but it was definitely a unique experience.
