What do you get we you combine a card game with demons, elder gods, and monsters? Necronomicards!! This 2016 card game is the brainchild of Andy Hunt. He created this game that is a combination of Magic: The Gathering and Munchkin. It plays up to 4 people and a game last roughly 45 minutes.
The game is pretty basic. Summon creatures and beat the other players. There is two ways to win which include summoning all 4 of the Horsemen of Apocalypse and summoning 7 creatures. The creatures within this game consist of Cthulu, Dagon, Medusa, Bloody Mary, a Dybbuk, and many more creatures of multiple mythologies and belief systems. It is not to easy to win either in order to summon you must obtain a set of 3 runes in order to get one creature, not to mention their are curses and each creature can cast a spell to impede all players. It is an entertaining game and quick to learn.
This was a game that started on kick-starter and has become successful. The artwork is cartoonish but still creepy enough for an adult. Andy has plenty of room to expand this game with all the creatures that do exist in many belief systems and myths so I would not expect to see more cards being created and more players being added. All in all a fun game that is quick, easy, and can keep you entertained.
