What is up everyone? It took a while but I got back to my haunts. Last week in fact I went back to Hunt Club Farms for there Haunted Hunt Club Event. This happens every year and has been running for many years. When I first ever went to Hunt Club it was incredible and terrifying, granted I was young and actually scared back then but now it has fallen short. I am going to try to break this critique down in several ways and hope you enjoy.

First, as the years have gone by the prices have increased dramatically. That is fun if you bring new scares and screams to the attraction but they have not done this and the haunts have remained stagnant for years. I hate to say this because I have two friends who were a part of this haunt for many years. One remains there and I know he wants to make changes to it but he has no power to do so and the other has moved on with his life becoming a director and producer of movies. However, Hunt Club has failed to deliver with there haunt. I can see where it is terrifying for new arrivals at the haunt but some who have been going there for years and now trying to keep that tradition alive it hurts both the pocket book and the actions. I do have to say that this is not to be viewed as a negative thing for Hunt Club I am adamant about them staying alive and strong for future generations but if you do not improve it may back fire on you and this haunt could fail. I think even now as I glimpse at there Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/hauntedhuntclubfarm/ that other fans are starting to fade because of there lack of improvement and increase of prices but the sad thing is that they do not need to push forward but to fall back to how it used to be.

When I first came to Hunt Club as a young child it terrified me. The worst part is that it was only one event and that was the hayride. However, that hayride was amazing. The prices were cheap, rough $7.00 a person but worth every bit and more when you entered the haunt. Hell at one point of time when I was younger I hid under the hay because I was so scared. Which was pathetic but since then that has drastically change I was no longer scared of my own shadow and matured. But that time period was amazing. They had execution scenes including electric chairs and Beheadings, that looked real and scared many people. They had zip lines where vampires would appear like they are flying above you scattered throughout the woods. They had a hardcore carnival scene where hardcore music would blast throughout the forest and psychotic clowns and performers would come out of everywhere and terrify the crowd. It was amazing and the worst part that was at the beginning of it’s lifespan. Now like age it has decreased in performance but increased in size. You can still do that stuff on the hayride not to mention that you have to other areas “Field of Screams,” and “Village of the Dead,” to add this type of stuff to terrify your guest. I get you are kid and family friendly but guess what I was a child when you did this stuff in your past and due to that fact I became an advocate for your haunt. Now the glory is fading from me because you have taken that stuff away. I am sure if you bring it back you will see an increase in your ticket sales and crowd because that is what we miss.

I end with this note. You have the ability. I actually liked the “Field of Screams,” this time way more than in the past. You can improve and do well. I am cheering you on but you must make the changes. As a side note I thought the hayride was not as good as it was in the past and sadly it was not due to your event but your hostess. Last, Sunday roughly around 10:00 PM my girlfriend and I entered the hayride, excited about it because it is usually the best event. The lady who was the hostess and dressed as a witch I guess was so rude and let us face it bitchy that it ruined the entire ride for everyone in the cart. Her attitude was so negative that no one even cared about the haunt we were to busy biting are tongue and restraining for calling her out on her rude and off putting attitude towards people who paid damn near $30.00 to have fun that no one enjoyed the haunt and I felt as if the actors felt that way towards there performance but it was not there fault it was her being a bitch. I hope someone does something about that and lets her no that we cannot have fun if she makes us feel ashamed in doing so within the event.
