Hello readers. I am back. Let us talk about the end of the world, at least according to the movie “Legion.” This movie is from 2010 and is a end of days movie with excitement, action, and religion throughout the entire movie. However, as I said before this is not for me to pass judgement but for you to think about if this could happen.
The movie takes place primarily in a diner/shop in the middle of nowhere. Where we meet a group of people from all around gathering for a meal and gas. In the beginning Charlie are female protagonist speaks of her mother. She tells a story of her as a little girl where he mom speaks of a prophecy. The end of times not made by the devil but made by God. Young Charlie asks her mother, “Why is God so mad with us (referring to humans)?” Her mother replies, “Because He is tired of all the bullshit.”
Fast forward to her many years later. Stranded as a waitress with her father in the middle of the desert where she is pregnant by a man we never meet who was apparently just another person stopping by the diner. This day was different though. In the city an angel falls and fights the police stating he must save the baby because the baby is the key to survival for mankind. Upon stealing weapons and a cop car he drives to the desert where the people were just attacked by an angel who possessed an old lady. Upon his arrival the action begins. Plagues ensue and angels come in troves to kill the girl and her baby with the Angel Michael to be the only one defending this girl.
The movie all in all was good. It is full of action, drama, and religion. A fight for survival so the world could live. The dark setting gives an eerie feel and the angels presents or disturbing. A well rounded cast brings the movie together and it makes one think at a time that we live now where unfortunately many do not care for one another should the slate be wiped clean and humans start over.
