Hello everyone. I know it has been too long since I wrote on this but I will hopefully be more mindful. Thank You for your patients.
Today I was discussing one of my ideas of many that may actually have some credit. Haha. I was talking with a friend about a movie I watched which involved LARPing of course the classic design of medieval battles and thought to myself with all these haunts and professional persons who design them, how come I never seen a horror LARP.
Imagine one person being the killer while others being victims. Set designs made to carry out the acts. Puzzles to solve in order to win the game. Make-up, trap doors, secret rooms, and labs. All of those out there with imaginations formulating a way to escape for a weekend by being in a world of imagination based on horror movies.
I think the possibilities are limitless. Only bounded by the horror genre and all of its glory. It could be a camp time slaughter with a murdering mad man or zombies buried in the woulds hungry for campers. It could be a space station where murderous aliens are attacking the doctors and scientist aboard. A mysterious mansion where people are trying to win the inheritance from a dead relative who is haunting the house to execute those he/she does not like. A rave party gone wrong or a terrifying circus of nightmares. There is so many genres and who did not want to be in a horror movie. Now is your chance.
I am putting this out there to see if there is an interest and maybe inspire those who can do this to create this new genre of LARPing. I would love to but I do not know the first step in doing so besides creating the story. I am also in return asking for people to give information so I too could create this moment, this adventure and I figure the best way to do that is with help from you who are experienced. I hope this inspires you and I will create more on this site including rules and how the game should play to an extent because it is really up to the players. Thank you for your time.
