Murder Party

You ever felt alone in life.  Like no one even notices you.  You never invited anywhere, you work too hard and can not find time to go out and relax.  A recluse not by choice but by fate.  That sucks!!!  However, you could always be invited to a, “Murder Party,” like the protagonist in this horror comedy.

Walking home after work one day.  Chris stumbles upon a invitation on the sidewalk.  Chris proceeds to pick it up to see what it says.  It was an invitation to a costume party that was taking place at a warehouse.  Chris who for all intended purposes does not seem to get out much or do anything becomes excited and picks it up to take it home.  That evening and begins to make his costume.  Excited he bakes a spice cake with raisins to take to the party.  He is so happy he enters into the warehouse wondering where everyone is and gets capture by a group of fanatical artists who want to make a masterpiece in which they film murdering an innocent victim, and like all artist they must wait for there fearless leader or the guy who is an idiot but has the charisma that infectiously grabs hold to lead the flock of artist (or rag tag overly dramatic hipsters) to there inevitable doom.

The movie follows the incident of Chris the misguided hero through a wild and crazy journey of  survival.  But in the most comedic way.  What other movie starts off with one of the villains dying because she is allergic to raisins and passes out hitting her head and killing herself?  But the artist strive for the perfect, creative artistic platform lead by an idiot.  The misdeeds that occur in this movie are fun and entertaining.  The director portrays these artist as complete idiots who live in a fantasy world.  In fact one of the games they play in this movie is using sodium pentothal to play ultimate truth or dare like it is a sleep over for the insane.

All in all the movie does exactly what it is made to do.  Bring horror and comedy together for a movie that is strictly to entertain.  The death scenes are over the top with blood and gore.  The comedy though dry sometimes will make you laugh.  The exploits are over the top.  Bringing this movie to a hilarious climax which makes you say, “What the hell did I watch?  Let’s see it again.”
