This homage to your classic B movie horror brings back the memories of my youth. The filming looked as if it were an older movie, yet it was released in 2000. The story was interesting and the gore effects were on point with the 1980s B movie releases. All in all I enjoyed it thoroughly.

The story is about a girl who has lost her mother. Her father is an abusive drunk and does not let her live her life. He is trying to make money in real estate especially on flipping houses. He came upon a old house in the middle of a forest where no one has been for years. Upon purchasing this house he makes his daughter help clean it and not let her be with her friends.

The young girl is left by her dad to clean the house on her own while he gets drunk at a bar. However, soon enough her friends come to help her and that is when the torment begins. As she and her friends are cleaning strange things are happening. Drains are rupturing and dreams because more real than fantasy. She and her friends continue to clean blowing off everything like it is something that normally occurs however the evil becomes more powerful. The entity that haunts the drains of this house begin murdering people. The evil is water and it is destructive. However, a wondering traveler knows what is going on and wants to exorcise the house. Will he be successful or will the evil win.

Like I said prior to this point I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It is a new take on a classic style of filming. Evil and exorcism grotesque graphics some nudity and an all together naivety brings that 80s genre back to life. The movie was well done for what it was and the feel was classic. This movie is nowhere near a modern horror, but if you go in thinking that you will be disappointed. Just look at it as a blast from the past.
