Halloween 2020: Could We Pull It Off

Hello everyone. I wanted to jump on here to discuss how we could pull off Halloween during this time. I believe if you choose not to celebrate it, that is totally up to you. I am not saying go out there and be unsafe, but I feel it is a safe holiday to celebrate. And here is why:

  1. Most costumes that people dress up with come with masks. Even if they don’t is it not easy to get a cloth mask that matches your costume. Either by color or print.

2. You can walk in a group with your family or friends that you know are not sick. If you are sick you are not required to go to celebrate Halloween so STAY HOME!

3. Gloves are usually a second piece of apparel that can come with a costume. And if it does not you still have black, white, and purple rubber options available to you.

4. Most of the time you are trick or treating you are more than likely not staying for 10 minutes at a house talking with people. You are just grabbing your candy and going.

5. Candy is all prepackaged and sealed before residents get it. So you should be safe there, because it is just another grocery. However, my girlfriend and I are planning to luge the candy to the children from a slanted table so I am only going to touch it for a second, then ends up in your bag.

6. If you are a resident who will participate in the Halloween Celebration than wait outside or in your garage to let people no you are participating. Then all those fingers will not have to touch your doorbell.

7. I wish somebody would have invented this when Covid first started but it would be cool if you could attach a UV light to a trick or treat bag so you get some sanitation on the candy as it enters the bag.

8. If your neighborhood does not want to have people go door to door for trick or treating how about do what many did for birthday parties. A Halloween Parade of Cars decorated for the spirit of Halloween to endure and either decide to toss candy out the car to children standing outside of there house in costume or just wish everyone a Happy Halloween.

9. Even more fun for residents. Decorate your yards and now when trick or treaters (Families) drive by for Halloween you have a Haunted Ride experience from the safety of your car.

10. Just have fun and enjoy. Stay safe and smart and do you think we can pull Halloween off?
